Session Description

Practicing physicians can contribute valuable clinical knowledge to healthcare design projects to ensure the final product meets desired patient care goals. However, many challenges exist to optimizing physician participation in the process. Come hear how practicing physicians who are active in Lean healthcare facility design provide their perspectives to the process. They’ll share critical lessons learned and provide strategies and tips for maximizing physician engagement in your current and future projects. The challenges on working with physicians and physician administrators will also be highlighted. Presenters will demonstrate how optimized clinician engagement can lead to a
design that is functional, effective and lasting, and meets desired patient care goals.
