Session Description

Definitions of student success today frequently include goals of improved health and well-being, both for students in health-related programs as well as the overall student population. Colleges and universities are facing a student mental health crisis. They understand that the student’s state of health and well-being directly impacts learning and retention and their facilities must take on greater responsibility to meet these complex needs. In this session, student health centers and university buildings housing health-related programs show how well-being is driving design through the use of transparency and biophilia concepts, creating facilities that promote student success: academically, physically, and mentally.
