At the 2016 Healthcare Design Expo & Conference, the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health introduced the new Case Study Benchmarking Library. Since then, they’ve been able to expand and improve the depth and breadth of the library. This presentation explores how the case study benchmarking methodology can enhance design practice and benefit the research community. Presenters will discuss ways to more effectively engage with The Center for Health Design’s Knowledge Repository to make it a more rigorous yet accessible tool and consider linking it with the AIA/AAH Case Study Library, as well. Let’s engage in a more robust dialogue as both design and research communities so that we can all contribute more meaningfully.
