Circadian health and circadian supportive lighting have recently gained traction as research increasingly supports the significant impact of the physiological effects of lighting on human health. While many healthcare facilities are open to the idea, the challenge of incorporating the new technologies in a way that meets standard healthcare design requirements has discouraged owners and designers from pursuing it. In this session, a facility project manager, lighting designer, and lighting manufacturer will share their experiences of implementing circadian lighting and how to apply their lessons learned in making the implementation of circadian-supportive lighting an achievable goal in today’s healthcare facility design.
