The Ohio State University College of Medicine is expected to grow by over 500 faculty within the next five years. To prepare, leaders researched space needs and office usage from current faculty members. That research resulted in several theoretical space layouts to accommodate these needs and provide the private space desired by faculty, while balancing the administration’s desire for cost-effective solutions that maximize space utilization but also offer a strong selling point to new recruits. Join these presenters for a review of some newly built office environments that balance needs and costs and consider the pros and cons of various design decisions.
