Track:Transformation and Innovation
Stanford’s Digestive Health Center (DHC) at the Redwood City Campus opened in 2018. It is the result of a multiyear 3P (production, preparation, and process) effort developed to document future-state operations and facility design to support them. Metric goals were identified such as flow, efficiency, and space utilization; patient, staff, and provider satisfaction; patient access and annual growth; and financial cost. The final design is a patient- and family-focused environment that is viewed as a major success and enriches the SHC brand. But has it succeeded in achieving its metric goals and was the time and money put into 3P worth it? Come check out the results!
