In collaboration with AdventHealth, HuntonBrady Architects and GE Healthcare Partners designed a 12,000-square-foot command center with the bandwidth to monitor, collaborate, and connect patient care on nine campuses. The center is staffed 24/7 with a team of clinicians, EMS, and flight dispatchers and features a network of 60 monitors capable of displaying real-time information to deliver at-a-glance situational awareness. This roundtable explores how the architectural environment supports the focused activities of mission control. Moderators will address how the design approach creates opportunities to improve whole patient care and reduce provider fatigue, and how to better understand the complexities of balancing health system utilization across a multi-campus healthcare organization.
