Session Description

Empathic design thinking is an invaluable approach in human centered design, particularly for cancer patients and their families going through their journey to health. This roundtable will present empirical evidence from recent patient experience mapping studies to identify gaps and generate new solutions to enhance the patient experience. Through the lens of the Stanford Health Care Director of Medical Planning (a surgeon also trained as an architect), a healthcare architect, and a researcher, discover emerging models of cancer care, trends and innovation, and their impacts on policy and design interventions that together can enhance cancer patient journey to health and well-being.
