Dr. Bassin is an attending physician on the faculty of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. He received both his BS in Movement Science and Physiology and his MD from the University of Michigan in 2005. Additionally, he obtained EDAC certification from the Center for Healthcare Design in 2015. He has lectured nationally and internationally on LEAN-based healthcare design and was an integral component of the planning, design and implementation team for the first and largest ED-based ICU in the country, the U-M Emergency Critical Care Center (EC3) where he currently serves as the EC3 Medical Director.
