June Hanley started her career as a teacher where she developed a profound interest in how space supports teaching and learning. Over her 30-year career she has translated this passion into insight about learning environments, collaborating with faculty, medical professionals, and other researchers to understand their methodologies, pedagogies, and objectives. She has helped plan simulation centers for medical schools and health systems across the country including Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Advocate Aurora Health, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Cooper Medical School. She is a sought after speaker on the design of teaching and simulation labs, classrooms and lecture halls.
