Richard has over 20 years experience in consumer-facing digital technology, starting with a successful retail startup that became Carolina Rustica, which he sold in 2012. He has held senior executive roles in technology and marketing since that time, first as Vice President of Member Engagement at AAA Carolinas, and then as Chief Product Officer at MicroD. Several years ago he founded OmniMarketing2020, a boutique consulting firm that focuses on digital strategies for organic growth of visualization technology. He is also a substitute teacher for Cabarrus County (NC) schools. He has written articles for various industry and e-commerce publications and this is his fifth time speaking at IRCE. Sexton holds a Masters of Management degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
