Sam Burnette has 36 years of experience in planning and designing healthcare facilities, ranging from hospitals and outpatient centers to assisted living communities nationwide. He holds a BS Degree in Architecture from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is a frequent guest lecturer at Texas A&M School of Architecture's lecture series on healthcare trends, past presenter at a previous Healthcare Design Conference and at the HCA Spring Training Conference. After conducting extensive research on hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) over the past three years, he has authored related articles (one being "Infection Control: The Good Fight," published in the October 2016 issue of Healthcare Design) and presented often on this topic.
