This presentation details the conversion of a 25\,000 SF warehouse into a modern Pharmacy Distribution Center for Allegheny Health Network (AHN). The session showcases practical strategies for renovating and reusing existing facilities to meet healthcare needs by focusing on the creation of a central fill pharmacy to streamline medication distribution across AHN’s network. Attendees will discover how advanced automation systems were planned to ensure reliable compressed air\, power\, and data connections with built-in redundancy. The project’s strategic phased construction approach ensured that critical equipment delivery and accelerated HVAC procurement met strict climate control and regulatory requirements.
