SPEAKER RESOURCE CENTER
Please note: we are still finalizing details for HCD 2020. Stay tuned!
BreakPoint Books will be operating the on-site bookstore at the HCD Conference. As a service to our speakers, we would like to give you the opportunity to recommend any books that you have authored, or books that you may refer to or recommend in your session. If you would like to participate in this service please complete this form no later than Friday, October 4th and return it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
You should begin working with the other speakers in your session to create one cohesive and education-filled presentation.
Below is a PowerPoint template to use when creating your presentation. Within the template, there are slides that we would like you to include, such as a CEU information slide, a learning objectives slide and session evaluation information. If you would prefer to use your own template, please be sure to include these slides in your presentation.
Please submit 1 presentation for your session in PDF format no later than Monday, October 14th to HCD Conference Coordinator, Kelly Bayha at HCDpresentations@emeraldexpo.com
Presentations will be posted within the HCD Conference App for attendees to view while we are onsite at the conference. If you do not want your presentation posted to the conference app please let us know when you submit your presentation.
ON-SITE SESSION ROOM & AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT
Each session room will be wired for sound and equipped with a screen, LCD projector, head table with chairs and podium microphone, along with two handheld microphones. We will not have wireless lavaliere microphones this year. You or someone from your session is responsible for providing your own laptop with your presentation fully loaded and prepared. We will provide cables to attach the laptop to the LCD projector. However, if you are using a MAC, please bring your own dongle.
If you have any additional AV requests (flipcharts, etc.), please submit them no later than Monday, October 14th, and we will do our best within reason to fulfill your request. Please note that all requests may not be able to be fulfilled and the sooner you let us know, the more likely we will be able to accommodate.
Each room will be set up theater style.
SESSION ROOM SUPPORT
There will be a temporary staff member located in outside of your session room. They are responsible for scanning attendee badges upon entrance, reading any important announcements before your session starts, and will give you a five-minute warning notice prior to your session ending. In case you need any assistance, they will also be there as a liaison between you and the AV company.
By now you should have received your speaker registration email. They were sent from our registration system on 8/22. It may have ended up in your spam/junk folder please check there before requesting the email be resent. We ask that you complete the process as soon as possible.
Please be sure to book your hotel reservation. As previously mentioned, the blocks we have reserved at a reduced rate are quickly filling up.
