THE BEST WAY TO HAVE A GREAT HCD EXPERIENCE?

ARRIVE WITH A PLAN.

2022 Mobile App and Digital Directory coming soon.

What booths do you want to visit?
What kind of products are you looking for?
What sessions will you attend?
Are you going to any special/networking events and have you added them to your calendar?

To help you plan your time at the show, we strongly recommend utilizing the HCD app. In the app, you can search exhibitors and products, add booths you want to visit to a list, create a schedule, and more. Also, to help you with your pre-show planning, we have created a Take 5 program that outlines something you can do for five minutes each day leading up to the show (or when your schedule allows). It all starts by familiarizing yourself with the app. Let’s get started!

TAKE FIVE: #1

Once you download the HCD app and have registered, sync your personalized schedule by logging in with your badge number. This will import sessions you registered for into your app schedule. Simply tap “Attendee Login” in the left-hand menu, then follow the on-screen instructions. Refer to your registration confirmation email for your badge number.

TAKE FIVE: #2

In the app, view exhibitor listings and mark your current vendors that you want to visit. Simply tap the star next to their listing to add them to My Planner.

TAKE FIVE: #3

Browse the exhibitor list and product categories in the app and make a list of companies to visit that you aren’t currently doing business with.

TAKE FIVE: #4

View networking events you want to attend and add them to your calendar. Take this time to also make note of expo hours so you won’t miss one chance to interact with the latest and greatest products on the show floor.

TAKE FIVE: #5

The evening before or each morning at the show, take five to view your daily schedule of sessions to attend and exhibitors to visit. If you’re a conference attendee, download speaker handouts (if they were provided by speaker), and refer back to your schedule so you’re well-prepared for the day!

The Healthcare Design Conference + Expo is an annual conference focused exclusively on the design of hospital and clinic environments. The educational program is driven by industry experts who share case studies, research, best practices, and new approaches throughout the three-day learning experience.

To create the annual program, a call for presentations is opened, with submissions selected via a rigorous review process. All conference sessions must qualify for continuing education units, with four distinct learning objectives and one hour of content delivered.

The Center for Health Design is HCD's educational partner for the conference and manages the call for presentation process. Follow the link below to view the form on The Center’s website and submit a presentation proposal.

Top-of-mind topics for sessions include but are not limited to: patient safety and satisfaction, ambulatory care, remodeling, renovation and conversions, impact of technology, clinical perspectives, the high-performance hospital and sustainable practices, design for wellness, innovations in facility planning and management, design challenges and solutions, specialty facilities and departments (i.e., oncology, pediatrics, behavioral health, OR, ED), strategies for financing and operations, international trends and practices, and projects and initiatives that advance equality and social justice.
