There are many myths regarding “best practice” design trends that may not be supported by research or other forms of evidence. It is important to educate users about clinical and operational evidence to ensure they make informed design decisions when planning new facilities. These presenters reviewed the clinical components of each myth and will share outcomes and evidence to support or refute best practice claims. This presentation investigates common myths seen in the industry and provides a useful approach to examining design trends to prepare those in the position to make informed, evidence-based design decisions.
